Ephesus is one of the World’s Most important archaeological sites dating back to 4000 BC. It was the capital of the Asian state during the Roman Period and a major port linking East and West. Ephesus is not only known as a Roman Trade Center but also as the home of the ancient Anatolian Mother Goddess «Kybele» and boasts the Artemis Cult’s biggest temple. The Temple of Artemis is counted as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
