The Gateway to Ephesus

Ege Port Kuşadası operates The Port of Kuşadası which was Global Ports Holding’s first acquisition. Situated on the west coast of Turkey, Kuşadası is one of the most appealing towns of the Aegean and is close to many historical sites. The dynamic cruise port and beach resort town of Kuşadası is the gateway to Ephesus, which is among the most visited ancient cities in the Mediterranean. With the typical Mediterranean climate of hot summers and mild winters, the region enjoys a long tourism season, and without doubt, Kuşadası is one of Turkey’s most beautiful holiday destinations.

Ege Port extended its two piers in 2011 and has a total pier length of 1,297m, meaning it can welcome Oasis class ships. With its two finger piers, the port can berth up to four large vessels, or four smaller and two large vessels. It features two roll-on/roll-off ramps and a quay to service ferry traffic. Ege Port provides full terminal services, marine services and auxiliares services. The modern passenger terminal with duty free shopping areas, a first-aid care facility and a passenger and crew center equipped with internet and other communication facilities provides utmost suitability and comfort for passengers and crew members. Besides, Scala Nuova shopping village located within the port offers extended shopping, food & beverage opportunities for shopping enthusiasts. Thanks to extensive investments, Ege Port has become the busiest cruise port in Turkey and is a major port of call in the East Mediterranean.

The year 2025 marked the highest number of different cruise lines ever served by Ege Port. In the same year, Ege Port maintained its position as Türkiye’s leading cruise port in terms of cruise calls and passengers, and with the Solar Power Plant investment, the port began meeting all of its energy needs, excluding the shopping mall, from renewable sources.

Record Ferry Operations

 

In 2024, Ege Port maintained its position as the port hosting the highest number of cruise calls and passengers in Türkiye, while also reaching the highest number of ferry calls and passengers in Kuşadası’s history.

20th Anniversary & Record Performance

In 2023, Ege Port celebrated its 20th anniversary and became the port hosting the highest number of cruise calls and passengers in Türkiye.

Solar Energy System on Terminal Building Roof


To reduce reliance on external energy sources and increase the port’s energy independence, we have installed a 0.25 MVA solar energy system on the terminal building roof, capable of generating 400,000 kWh annually to meet the port’s own energy needs.

Replacement of Diesel Forklifts with Electric Models

To reduce emissions and increase energy efficiency in port operations, we have replaced diesel-powered forklifts with electric models for use within the port area.
