Kuşadası to Break Its Own Record
This year has been a very prosperous year for Ege Port Kuşadası, as it has recovered from the COVID pause quite successfully with over 360 calls and 360k passengers welcomed in the first 3 quarters.
2023 will be a record breaking year with an expected 1 million passengers, including the ferry traffic, to be welcomed at the gateway to Ephesus.
The first port in Turkey to be ISPS compliant in 2004, Ege Port Kuşadası is committed to seamless and secure operations. To do this, Ege Port Kuşadası is investing to expand its security screening area in the departure hall with a new capacity of up to 6 x-rays. This will allow the guests to easily access the ship and reduce the waiting time.
Another first in the port for the 2022 season was the weekly partial turnaround operations by MSC Cruises in addition to the Celestyal Cruises which had already been doing partial turnaround operations in Kuşadası for some years.
With further commitment from the cruise lines, Ege Port Kuşadası is also investing in a new Check-in Hall and Luggage Screening Area, enabling the port to not only offer Transit operations but also Turnaround.
With more passengers going through the doors, Ege Port Kuşadası will also expand and improve the shopping experience within the terminal. With a new duty-free area and a “walkthrough” concept, there will be an improved experience for both the passengers & crew.
With these latest upgrades and new services, another busy and exciting season awaits for Ege Port Kuşadası.
