This week, Ege Port Kusadasi has launched its high season! With several cruise ships from different brands bringing over 3,000 passengers in the past 2 days, we could see the joyous faces at the port.
The port hosted 15 calls since the beginning of 2022. After a visit from Norwegian Jade of Norwegian Cruise Line and Emerald Azzurra of Emerald Cruises on April 5th and today Regal Princess of Princess Cruises, Ege Port Kusadasi welcomed over 3,000 in just 2 days. All three ships will continue to call the beautiful destination of Kusadasi during the summer season. After enjoying their tours of Ephesus and the House of Virgin Mary, the cruise passengers also spent some quality shopping time in Scala Nuova Village that is located in the Port.
Aziz Gungor, Global Ports Holding Regional Director for East Med and Ege Port Kusadasi General Manager commented: “We are expecting the largest cruise ships of the industry this season, one of which is Regal Princess. We are very happy to see once again a cruise ship that is full of passengers after a 2 year break. This year Ege Port Kusadasi will be hosting around 500 calls.”
Aziz Gungor and his team presented a plaque during the Ceremonial Exchange with the Captain of the ships and welcomed them to Kusadasi for the first time. The Regal Princess operation also consisted of managing a 58-tour bus traffic which has been the largest Shorex operation for a single vessel so far at the Port since the pandemic.
The highlight of the East Med itineraries, Kusadasi is the gateway to the ancient city of Ephesus. Providing a breath of history with a combination of unique shopping experience, local culinary experience in Sirince Village and a day full of nature and wildlife at the Dilek Peninsula National Park, Kusadasi is a must-see cruise destination.
