Ege Port – Kuşadası welcomed the first cruise ship of the 2019 season, 'Black Watch' on February 18th. The cruise ship 'Black Watch' stared its 107-day world tour from Southampton, England, on November 12th, 2018. Its itinerary includes 22 countries and 35 ports. Black Watch called Kuşadası on the 99th day of its 107-day world tour.
In Kuşadası, 550 British passengers from Bahamas flagged 'Black Watch', visited attractions such as Ephesus, Virgin Mary, Didim and Miletus. The ship departed at 20:00 towards Naples, Italy.
The general manager of Ege Port – Kuşadası Aziz Güngör noted that “We are excited to welcome the first cruise ship of the season, Black Watch, with its 550 passengers and 372 crew members. Between 2016 and 2018, Turkey had a very difficult cruise season. In 2019, we are expecting a significant growth especially in Ege Port – Kuşadası and we will be back to the old days in the near future.”
